Trade Ethereum (ETH) to Tron (TRX) using MetaMask

This guide demonstrates how to swap from Ethereum (ETH) to Tron (TRX) using the MetaMask wallet on depouch the best cross-chain DEX. The swap is completely permissionless.

Trade Ethereum (ETH) to Tron (TRX) using MetaMask

Step 1: Navigate to depouch and Connect Your Wallet

  • Click Connect Wallet. You find the button in the top right corner of the page.
  • Go to the swap page by clicking Swap now or Swap.
  • Select Ethereum as the network you are sending from.
  • Choose MetaMask. Your MetaMask wallet should now be connected.

Step 2: Set Up the Swap

  • Select the cryptocurrencies for your trade: from Ethereum (ETH) and to Tron (TRX) since we want to swap from Ether to TRX.
  • You can search for Ethereum and Tron on the Select Cryptocurrency modal, or scroll down to find them.

Step 3: Enter Swap Details

  • Paste your Tron destination address into the Destination address field.
  • Input the amount of Ethereum you wish to swap in the From field.

Step 4: Review and Confirm the Swap

  • Click the Swap button.
  • Review the transaction breakdown.
  • Press Confirm Swap.
Note: slippage might be high for small swap amounts. This is because the outbound fee (which is $0.58 in the example) is a significant percentage of a small trade (like $5). For larger trades, the slippage would be way lower (below 1%). Note that depouch can not impact the outbound fee.

Step 5: Confirm Transaction in MetaMask

  • To ensure a smooth and timely swap, it is recommended to set a high swap fee.
  • In your MetaMask prompt, change the fee setting to aggressive.
  • Press Confirm to send the Ethereum.

Step 6: Track the Swap

  • Once the Ethereum has been sent, the transaction is submitted.
  • Wait for the transaction to be broadcasted to the network and get on chain.
  • You can track the progress of your swap on the depouch website under the Transactions list. You will see it with status Swapping.
  • The status will change to Completed once the trade is finished.

Step 7: Verify Receipt of Tron

  • Once the swap is Completed, check your Tron address in your wallet.
  • You can aslo verify that you have received the Tron (TRX) by checking the transactions on a block explorer.

Congratulations! You have now successfully swapped your ETH to TRX using MetaMask on depouch cross-chain DEX with No KYC.
