Trade Ethereum (ETH) to Avalanche (AVAX) using MetaMask

This guide will show you how to trade native Ethereum (ETH) to native Avalanche (AVAX) using MetaMask on the depouch cross-chain DEX. The process is designed to be simple, allowing you to swap cryptocurrencies without needing KYC or registration. This transaction is a real cross-chain swap, meaning there is no bridging or wrapping involved.

Step 1: Navigate to depouch and Connect Your Wallet

• Go to depouch
• Click Connect Wallet – The button is found in the upper-right corner.

• Choose Ethereum as the network you are sending from.
• Select MetaMask from the list of supported wallets. Your wallet will ask for connection permission. Click Connect to proceed.

Step 2: Set Up the Swap

• Once your wallet is connected, go to the swap page by clicking the Swap or Swap Now button.
• Select the cryptocurrencies for your trade. You want to swap from Ethereum (ETH) to Avalanche (AVAX).
• In the from field, select Ethereum.
• In the to field, search for Avax (Avalanche) and select it.

Step 3: Enter Swap Details

• Paste your AVAX destination address into the Destination address field. This is the address where you will receive the Avalanche. See screenshot above.
• Enter the amount of Ethereum you wish to swap.

Step 4: Review and Confirm the Swap

• Click the Swap button to review the transaction details.

• Click Confirm to approve and send the transaction.
• You can then close the MetaMask extension.

Step 6: Track the Swap

• After confirming, you will see a Transaction submitted message.

You can track the progress of your swap on the depouch website under the Transactions list. The status will update from Swapping to Completed. It may take a few minutes for the transaction to get on-chain.

Step 7: Verify Receipt of AVAX

• Once the status shows Completed, your AVAX has been sent.
• You can verify the transaction by checking your wallet or a blockchain explorer. The received AVAX can be seen under internal transactions on the block explorer.
