Trade BTC to USDT using Ctrl Wallet

How to trade Bitcoin (BTC) to USDT on Ethereum using the Ctrl Wallet on the depouch cross-chain DEX.

This guide will show you how to trade Bitcoin (BTC) to USDT on Ethereum using the Ctrl Wallet on the depouch cross-chain DEX. The process is designed to be simple, allowing you to swap cryptocurrencies without needing KYC or registration.

Step 1: Navigate to depouch and Connect Your Wallet

Click Connect Wallet - The button is found in the upper-right corner.

Choose Bitcoin as the network you are sending from.
Select Ctrl Wallet from the list of supported wallets. Your wallet will ask for connection permission; click Connect to proceed.

Step 2: Set Up the Swap

Once your wallet is connected, go to the swap page by clicking the Swap or Swap Now button.
Select the cryptocurrencies for your trade. You want to swap from Bitcoin (BTC) to USDT on Ethereum.
In the from field, select Bitcoin. It may already be selected.
In the to field, click the coin and search for USDT on Ethereum. Now select that.

Step 3: Enter Swap Details

Paste your USDT (ERC20) destination address into the Destination address field. This is the address where you will receive the USDT. See screenshot above.
Enter the amount of Bitcoin you wish to swap.

You will need to account for transaction fees, so you might not be able to swap your entire balance.

Step 4: Review and Confirm the Swap

Click the Swap button to review the transaction details.
A summary will appear, showing details about the swap.
Click Confirm Swap to continue.

Be aware that for small amounts, the slippage might appear high. This is often due to outbound fees. For instance, a $1 outbound fee on a $10 swap results in high percentage slippage, but this percentage would be much lower for a larger trade.

Step 5: Boost the Transaction Fee in Ctrl Wallet

To ensure a smooth and timely swap, it is recommended to set a higher transaction fee.
In your Ctrl Wallet, when prompted to confirm the transaction, find the option to adjust the fee. See image below and look for the tiny red square around the wheel.
Select the Boost option for the transaction fee and then click Confirm to approve the transaction.

Step 6: Track the Swap

After confirming, you will see a Transaction submitted message, and the swap has started.
You can track the progress of your swap on the depouch website under the Transactions list, where the status will update from Swapping to Completed.
